NEW SHOP!

Well this past weekend has truly pushed the envelope for all of us, it has made me realize that inner strength is what matters most, and that pushing yourself to the limits is truly a gift. I am talking about moving! Yeah, we all know the feeling, packing, loading everything you own into a truck only to drive to your destination and have to unload it all again, then you have to unpack it all and find a home for everything all over again. Yeah, I hate moving too, moving test's the inner strength of people, it will make you hurt in more ways than you can ever imagine, it will create havoc in your life but in the end it brings a peace too.

We moved our family and my shop to a new location, the family we moved to Algoma WI and the shop we simply moved a couple of blocks away from it's previous location. No matter how you look at it, it's still a test.

I am proud to say we have come a long way in a short time, it was time to upgrade the shop into a larger location. If you ever in Algoma WI stop by and see what Green Girl Bath & Body has become!

Rock Star Cupcake Soap

Here is my 'ROCK STAR' Cupcake Soap, Completely handmade using the cold process mothod of soapmaking. The tops are hand piped on and are all cold process soap, NOPE NO M&P Soap here! "Frosted' with Pink and Black swirled cold processed soap, and has little yellow stars on it. The Cake part is swirled with red, yellow, black and orange swirls. The whole cupcake is scented with a fragrance called 'Lick Me All Over', YUMMY!

This is my 'ROCK STAR' Cake soap and this is what the inside of the cupcakes looks like, very colorful and intriguing!

It's been a while since I've been here and posted anything, I've been busy with the shop, which by the way is coming along.

I've managed to fill the shop more and more, right now I am to the point that I am starting to run out of space to put things. But being creative, I am always looking for new ways to add some spice to the shop and where to put the new cupcakes and cake soaps that I've been creating.

Making my first 'CAKE SOAP'

Today was a crisp cool day in the town of Algoma, WI. Crisp clean air along the lakefront, bright sunny day, with a gentle breeze coming off the lake. It was simply beautiful!

Since it was slightly crisp outside, I decided to turn my soap shop into a soap production shop. Today I made my first cake soap, using a 12 cup Silicone Bunt cake mold I created a rich cream soap that smells of divine Pears. Yellow and Green swirls dance amongst each other mingling to create a unique scent that you and I both know and love as deliscous Pear Glace, the famous fragrance from Bath & Body Works was making it's way into my soap shop in the form of a cake!

Tomorrow I will be unmolding the Pear Glace Cake Soap and creating a rich Cocoa Butter Cream Glaze that will be drizzled over the top of the Pear Glace Cake, a glaze that has real chocolate in it and it's all 100% FAT FREE!

Proof that you can have your cake and bath with it too, without gaining a single pound!

Tomorrow, cupcake soaps are on the list of things to do! OH I can't wait!

Welcome to Green Girl Bath and Body! This is my shop and I welcome everyone to come and join me on the adventure of a lifetime! I am new to owning a business, my shop has only been active for a little over a week now.
Inside you will see many wonderful products that will delight your senses, add bubbles and fun to your shower or bath, that will soothe your skin, soften your elbows and moisturize those dry hands, legs and body.
First off I've been making handmade soaps for nearly 12 years now, I have a Bachelors Degree in Science and turned my passion of science into a wonderful soapmaking business that I have been working on for nearly 5 years now. I recently have opened my own shop in beautiful and friendly Algoma, Wisconsin, just outside Sturgeon Bay/ Door County area, and I welcome each and every day with something new. My store hours are 11am - 7pm Monday - Saturday, 10am-4pm Sundays, I am open 7 days a week!
On a daily basis I welcome customers to come in and watch the soapmaking process while they shop! I am always making soaps, candles, shower gels and everything in between. It brings me great joy to be able to bring you natural products that not only make us smell good, but make us feel good too, you can rest assured that my products are skin loving, natural, and won't hurt the environment.

Green Girl offers a wide variety of handmade soaps for everyone, from fragrant bars that are the most popular of fragrances to the simple bars that have no scent at all. At Green Girl Bath & Body I know that everyone is different, some like a bar soap while others prefere a shower gel! I haven't forgotten about the Shower Gel lovers out there!

I offere a wide variety of shower gels that are handmade from scratch, by me, that are concentrated liquid soaps.
My soy candles are so gentle you can literally dip your fingers in the melted wax and use it as a skin soothing and softening warm lotion! How's that for gentle?
